Cambrai

Spent last night moored at side of canal at Hen-Lenglet very tranquil once the big commercial barges stopped for the night. Woken up at 6am when the first 300 footer of the day went past so set off for Cambrai. Left the grand gabarit (and the very big barges) and entered the canal St. Quentin at Estrun, at the first lock you are given a remote control for managing the locks oneself. Arrived in Cambrai in time for a very good lunch at a restaurant by the port de plaisance, which is run by two very jolly fat ladies. Impressive thunderstorm this evening.

One big yellow mooring ring kept us secure at Hen-Lenglet.
